One of the most popular destinations in the local area, this stunning medieval manor is situated just a couple of miles outside of Bakewell. It continues to be the home of the Manners family. It features beautiful gardens and it has featured in many period films and TV shows. Our favourite room is the long gallery – it’s simply beautiful.
It plays host to a number of events during the year, including Artisan markets and special Christmas exhibitions during December. There is also a licensed restaurant onsite which you can visit without going into the house or gardens. The restaurant has views over the river Wye.
