There are excellent peak district walks from the
door. Walks include: Walk to Sheldon and the Magpie
mine, Walks to Over Haddon and
Lathkill Dale. If you
wish to venture further afield Peak District Walks in
Chatsworth, the edges, Dove Dale are no more than 10-15 mins
away

the original farm buildings . The character of
the original buildings has been preserved, with
the accommodation having been decorated,
furnished and equipped to a high standard.

Bakewell close by we are in easy reach of all the attractions of
the Derbyshire Peak District including Buxton, Matlock,
Chesterfield and Ashbourne. Where interesting town walks are
available.

The Villages of
Monyash, Sheldon, Ashford-in-Water and
Over Haddon are all within 2 miles of our self
catering Holiday Cottages. Easy Peak District
walks can be taken without the use of the car. A
footpath runs within 100 yards of our Peak District
accommodation. A walk to lathkill Dale is a must.
Walks to the Derbyshire village of Sheldon takes about 20-30
mins. During your walk why not visit the Magpie mine.
Now derelict but the last of the lead mines in the Peak
District. In addition to the Derbyshire villages near
to our peak district cottages there are walks in the
beautiful peak district setting of Dove Dale only 10-15 mins
away. The edges at Stanage, Baslow and Calver can be
seen from the back fields of our peak district cottages and
are always a big attraction. The views over the Peak
District landscape can be stunning.
Another area that is only 30 mins away
from our peak district cottages is the Dark
Peak. The area around
Castleton and the Edale valley is famous for
walking. There are spectacular walks from
Castleton to the top of up Mam Tor or
Lose Hill. The
Goyt Valley about 30 mins from our peak
district cottages accommodation is famous for its
rhododendrons and heather and is a walkers
paradise.
