Like
the rest of the country we were plunged into a snowy
landscape for the 4 weeks during late December early January. Although here in the peak
district we haven't been hit as badly as elsewhere we have
still had sufficient snow to make life interesting.
Luckily our peak district cottages are fully centrally
heated so guests have been snug. The road into
Bakewell is always kept clear and this has been no exception
this year. When we haven't been able to get cars up
the drive (there is a slight rise which when icy makes it
difficult) we have parked them at the bottom and helped
people up with their luggage. Of course what we have had is
the spectacular 'picture postcard' vistas of the Peak
District in all its glory. The view from the front on sunny
clear days has been breath taking
