How to Find Our peak District Cottages

By train to our peak district cottages

Direct to Bakewell:

Unfortunately Bakewell no longer has a railway station. It was closed down in the 1960's. The route and station are still available to walkers and cyclists but unfortunately not for train users. There are, however, a number of alternatives available to arrive at Bakewell.

Unfortunately there are no buses from Bakewell that pass our door. However, we are happy to collect you from Bakewell and transfer you to your cottage. Just give us a call when you arrive in Bakewell and we can be down to pick you up in minutes.

Buxton:

There are regular train services to Buxton from Manchester and then onward connections by bus to Bakewell.

Chesterfield:

Chesterfield is on the London - York main line and is possibly the easiest route from the North East and South East. There are regular bus services from Chesterfield to Bakewell.

Matlock:

Although Matlock is not a main line station it is connected by a regular rail service to Derby. There are regular bus services from Matlock to Bakewell. For something slightly different you can at certain time of the year catch the local Peak Rail steam train from Matlock to Rowsley and then bus to Bakewell.
