Wednesday 22 October

Not feeling too brilliant today so Chris popped down to Bakewell to do the banking, but with no B&B in no other provisions required. Could have been a day for a walk but not well enough to do one but as it was so nice a bit of fresh air was in order so we went to the Garden Centre at Chatsworth. As it was almost lunch time by the time we got there it was very busy in the car park and cafe and as we couldn’t see anything we like on the menu. Bought some new, in theory frost proof, pots for the courytard. Went to the cafe at Beeley as that has changed hands and we wanted to try it out but unfortunately it was closed on Wednesdays! So third choice was the Farm Shop Cafe at Chatsworth where we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. A nice lunch and took some pictures afterwards. The one on the left is looking towards Edensor church from the cafe at the Chatsworth Farm Shop.A good autumn for changing colours is forecast so hopefully we will take some good photos over the next few weeks. Back just in time for the arriving cottage and as it was still nice spent an hour out in the garden. It was so nice that most of the guests did not come back until about 5pm. Downhill from here weather wise! After dinner Geoff from Chelmorton called in while Maggie was at choir practise. Sat down for Silent Witness while recording Heroes.
